The book ‘A Bad Case of Stripes’ is written and illustrated by David Shannon. The story is about a girl who is not true to herself and how this makes her life difficult.

The book ‘A Bike Like Sergio’s’ is written by Maribeth Boelts and illustrated by Noah Z Jones. This book is about a boy called Ruben who wants a bike like his friend Sergio. Unfortunately, his family cannot afford to buy him a bike. However, one day Sergio finds a one-hundred dollar bill which was dropped by a lady in a shop. Ruben has to decide what to do with the money he found. Should he keep it or give it back?

The book ‘A Different Pond’ is written by Bao Phi and illustrated by Thi Bui. It is a story about the relationship between a father and his son Bao, old cutures and new cultures and a fishing trip from long ago. It is a snapshot of a hardworking family who are fishing for dinner, in which Bao begins to learn why his family have to work so hard.

The book ‘A Visitor for Bear’ is written by Bonny Becker and illustrated by Kady MacDonald Denton. This story is about a bear who doesn’t want to be disturbed by visitors. However, a persistent mouse has other ideas!

The book ‘Addy’s Cup of Sugar’ is written by Jon J Muth. In this story, Addy moves to a new neighbourhood with her kitten. Sadly, her kitten is hit by car and Addy looks for new friends to help her. She finds a friend in Stillwater who teaches her an important lesson – she learns everybody has been touched by loss at some time in their lives.

The book ‘After the Fall’ is written by Dan Santat. This story is a twist on the class Humpty Dumpty story. After the fall, Humpty Dumpty is a different egg who is afraid of heights! He tries to conquer his fears – but does he succeed?

The book ‘As Cool As It Gets’ is written by Jory John and Pete Oswald. In this story, Cool Bean has to get a gift for an annual gift exchange for one of the coolest beans – Beanadette. He decides to make a gift for her instead of buying one, but will she like it?

The book “Be Kind’ is written by Pat Zietlow Miller and illustrated by Jen Hill. In this story, the main character watches her classmate get embarrassed after she spills grape juice over herself in class. She wonders how she can show kindness towards her to make her feel better, and comes to understand that kindness can be shown in many small ways.

The book ‘Be Quiet’ is written by Ryan T. Higgins. In this story, Rupert wants to create and star in a wordless picture book. However, his friends just won’t stop talking and they spoil all his attempts to make a beautiful book! A very funny book with great illustrations.

The book ‘Be You!’ is written by Peter H Reynolds. This book is a celebration of individuality and how you should always stay true to being yourself.

The book ‘Big Red Lollipop’ is written by Rukhsana Khan and illustrated by Sophie Blackall. This book is about Rubina who is invited to a birthday party, however, her mother insists she take her sister too. The unfolding story tells of how Rubina gets fed-up with her younger sister. Themes such as empathy, greed, temptation and cultural differences are referenced.

This version of ‘Black Beauty’ is an abridged version of the original by Anna Sewell, and is written and illustrated by Ruth Brown. The story follows the life of a horse called Black Beauty. Seen through his own eyes, young horse lovers will be swept up in his incredible journey from a peaceful paddock to the streets of London. No matter what he encounters, nothing can break Black Beauty’s spirit.

The book ‘Blizzard’ is written by John Rocco. This story is based on the real-life experience of the author of a blizzard in Rhode Island. It tells of the excitement of the snow falling and then the realisation that some people needed help because of being snowed inside. The main character helps others as he makes his way to the store for supplies.
