The book ‘A Bike Like Sergio’s’ is written by Maribeth Boelts and illustrated by Noah Z Jones. This book is about a boy called Ruben who wants a bike like his friend Sergio. Unfortunately, his family cannot afford to buy him a bike. However, one day Sergio finds a one-hundred dollar bill which was dropped by a lady in a shop. Ruben has to decide what to do with the money he found. Should he keep it or give it back?

The book ‘A Different Pond’ is written by Bao Phi and illustrated by Thi Bui. It is a story about the relationship between a father and his son Bao, old cutures and new cultures and a fishing trip from long ago. It is a snapshot of a hardworking family who are fishing for dinner, in which Bao begins to learn why his family have to work so hard.

The book ‘A Squash and a Squeeze’ is written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. In this story, a little old lady is fed up with how small her house feels. On the advice of a wise, old man she brings some farmyard animals into her house which makes it feel very small! However, once they leave she realises that actually her house is a perfect size. The theme in this book is be happy with what you have!

The book ‘A Visitor for Bear’ is written by Bonny Becker and illustrated by Kady MacDonald Denton. This story is about a bear who doesn’t want to be disturbed by visitors. However, a persistent mouse has other ideas!

The book ‘Addy’s Cup of Sugar’ is written by Jon J Muth. In this story, Addy moves to a new neighbourhood with her kitten. Sadly, her kitten is hit by car and Addy looks for new friends to help her. She finds a friend in Stillwater who teaches her an important lesson – she learns everybody has been touched by loss at some time in their lives.
