The book ‘Giraffe and Bird Together Again’ is written by Rebecca Bender. In this story, Bird wants to experience adventures but Giraffe is perfectly happy with what he is doing! He never worries if Bird flies off for a while, until one day his friends fails to return. Giraffe has a bad feeling about Bird’s disappearance and sets off to rescue him.
The book ‘Giraffe Problems’ is written by Jory John and illustrated by Lane Smith. The main character, Edward the giraffe, doesn’t like his neck. He tries to hide it, disguise it, dress it up…but until he makes friends with a tortoise (who has a short neck) he doesn’t realise that actually his neck is very useful and has a purpose!
The book ‘Gleam and Glow’ written by Eve Bunting and illustrated by Peter Sylvada is based on a true story of a family who has to flee their home because of war, leaving behind two fish in their pond.
